Check-in sessions

The check-in sessions are held on a regular basis as a way of creating a community for men to be comfortable opening up about the highs and lows of their lives.

The purpose behind this is to offer a safe space where men can get whatever’s on their mind out into the air, and understand that they are not alone in whatever issue they may be currently facing.

  • They usually begin with some form of activity, for example, a soccer match, or a board games evening to encourage interaction and engagement with one another.
  • The second half of the session is the check-in itself. Here, in a circle, beginning with the facilitator, the boys will share what’s been happening in their personal lives.
  • Following along from these sessions, if time permits, we go on to discuss various topics related to men’s mental health and masculinity and provide an open space for honest discussion.

man up online

Our online content provides a platform to share relevant content and information about masculinity and men’s mental health specifically.

Here we alternate between informative posts that we believe best benefit young men, as well as share stories and insights into masculinity that come about through personal experiences.

webinars, social.

  • We run online webinars which involve a guest speaker running each session covering a range of topics such as, ‘strategies to maintain mental well-being’ & ‘Understanding masculinity in the real world’.
  • Personal stories with men in the community as a space for them to share their own journeys with masculinity and their lessons learnt to engage with our followers and inspire more open, vulnerable discussions.
  • In the near future, we will be running programs offered to young men as a way to gain greater engagement and participation. Further, we will provide frameworks to help keep mental well-being high as well as the best methods to help out men in the community.
